Old Fashioned Family Christmas Festival

November 30 - December 4, 2022

Tuesday, November 29th

2-5 pm – Holiday Open House at Ada Public Library (treats from Opdahl’s Donuts & they will be giving away a free Take & Make Angel Ornament Craft Kit. Free crafts.

 

Thursday, December 1st

11 am- 1:30 pm–Annual Soup and Pie Day Drive-Up/Take Out at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Come and take out our great homemade soups and pies! Check out the Virtual Silent Basket Auction on Face book at St Joseph Parish Ada MN.   (Fundraiser)

 

Friday, December 2nd

 5– 8 pm—Christmas Party on the Prairie at Log Museum at Prairie Village.  Preview Christmas trees, live music, wine tasting & food. Call 218-784-6904 for tickets. (Fundraiser Norman County Historical Society for climate controlled storage building)

 6– 8 pm-Women’s Christmas Craft Night  Make your own winter pot, arrangement, centerpiece or ornament at Jevnaker Lutheran Church (1004 County Hwy 25, Borup)  Fundraiser. Free will donation.  All welcome!  Call or text Corissa Robinson with questions 360-306-0216

Saturday,  December 3rd

 All Day—Free Popcorn at the Orpheum Theater for kids!

9 am—2:30 pm—Huge Craft Show!, Fingerprint Ornaments by Studio 4:13 &Salvation Army Bell Ringers at Ada-Borup-West School  (Cougar Den Multi-Purpose Room) 

 9  - 11 am—Coffee & Rolls at Ada-Borup-West School Commons (fundraiser IXL 4-H & Hegne Hustlers)

 9  - 11 am—Shopping for Mom & Dad with Santa’s Elves Ada-Borup-West School, Ms Crompton's Room. Sponsored by ECFE.   Free

10 am—12 pm—Santa & Cookie Decorating at Ada Event Center. Visit Santa & decorate a fresh baked sugar cookie! (sponsored by American Legion, Ada VFW, Ada-Borup-West FCCLA, Little Learners Day Care, Mary Ann Bell, Julin Law Office & City of Ada)

10 am—5 pm—Festival of Trees at Prairie Village Log Museum.  $5 Fundraiser,  Norman County Historical Society.

10 am – 1 pm -23rd Annual Vintage Snowmobile Club’s Show & Chili Cook-off at Main Street Bar.  All ages welcome, all sleds welcome for the show!!! Free Registration. Line em up 10-12.  Awards at 1:00 pm.  Ride after awards  (weather permitting).  Awards for 1st in each class 60-69, 70-72, 73-75, 76-79, 80-87, Classic 88-98, Best in Show, People’s Choice, Best Original, Vintage Attire, Youth Class (non-judged)  Youth 10  & under will get a medallion for bringing their sled. Swap Area (limit 1 trailer and pick-up per person)  No charge.  Chili Cook-off for members 11 am-1 pm. 11 am – 1 pm – Chili Cook-off for Vintage Snowmobile Club Members at Main Street Bar. Bring chili by11 am.  Trophy and bragging rights to winner.  (Join the Club!)

11 am – 1 pm –Bloody Mary Bar and Mimosas at Main Street Bar

11 am - 2 pm - Lunch served in Ada-Borup-West School Commons.  Pulled pork sandwiches, soup, hot dogs, bars & beverage.  (Fundraiser IXL 4-H & Hegne Hustlers 4-H)

 3 pm—Ada-Borup-West School Theater presents the Addams Family Young @ Part.  “Free” Admission for all students K-12 courtesy Ada Lions & Ada VFW Auxiliary. (Donation box available for non-perishable food items for food shelf)

 5– 6:45 pm – SANTA CLAUS is back!!!  Santa at 209 N. Jamison Drive (Mike and Angie Nelson’s Christmas wonderland).   Bring letters to Santa’s mail box. Treats & craft project to do at home for children!  Please consider bringing a donation, the Ada Fire Department & Ada Future Leaders will be collecting food for the food shelf & new toys and cash donations for the Christmas Gifts for Youth project.  Any child who donates will be entered into a drawing to WIN a children’s kayak and life vest. DIRECTIONS:  Head north on Jamison Drive off of Hwy 200 and continue to the west on West 3rd Ave. in a one way direction.  Parking available at Zion Lutheran Church parking lot)
