150th Anniversary of Ada Information Needed from Businesses and other Important Information
(150th is scheduled for Friday, July 24 - Sunday, July 26, 2026)
The Ada Chamber of Commerce is working on an updated Business Information list. We plan to use the information for a flier at the 150th Anniversary of Ada. We will also be putting a copy of this in the City of Ada’s Time Capsule. Here is the information that is needed:
-Business name
-Address
-Phone numbers & Email address
-Years in business
-Main services the business provides

We also encourage businesses and organizations to have something in the 150th Anniversary Parade on Saturday, July 25th at 11 am. Line up beings at the Ada Police Department prior to the parade.
We encourage businesses to decorate with flower pots in front of their business, or their storefront with other decorations. Also, Office Supplies Plus is selling laminated custom 150th Anniversary Posters, 11” x 17,” for businesses and others to put in their windows or to display. They are $4 for regular posters and $6 for custom ones with your name and special wording. You can call them at 218-784-3880 or stop in at 315 W. Main St. in Ada.
Night to Unite scheduled for Tuesday, July 28th
JOIN US FOR NIGHT TO UNITE on Tuesday, July 28
Night to United is scheduled in Ada on Tuesday, July 28th at the Norman County Fairgrounds and the Coliseum. This event is America’s night out and Norman County’s night out against crime. This event helps citizens to be aware of the importance of crime prevention programs and the impact that their participation can have on reducing crime, drugs and violence in Norman County. It is a unique, nationwide crime, drug and violence prevention program.
The event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Get to know the officers, emergency services employees and other important organizations that protect and serve you! On site will be law enforcement vehicles, ambulance, fire trucks, Jaws of Life, thermal imaging and a lot more! Ongoing displays and demonstrations will be held at the fairgrounds in front of the Coliseum throughout the evening. There will be lots of kids activities including bouncy houses, bubbles, give-a-ways and more!
The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce will have a fundraiser meal featuring a pulled pork, BBQ’s and hot dog supper from 5:30 -7:15 p.m. in the Coliseum with a free will donation. Monies from this fundraiser will go to the Ada Civic Improvement Fund and upcoming community events.
Sponsors are needed to help pay for the cost of the children activities, games and give-a-ways.. If you would like to help sponsor one of these events with a donation, please contact Lee Ann Hall at 784-8069 or email her at leeannko@loretel.net.
We need volunteers to serve food and help with these shifts on Tuesday, July 29th in the Coliseum:
5:25 pm – 6:25 pm – Serve Food
6:25 pm – 7:20 pm – Serve Food
8:00 pm – Clean-up after event

Night to Unite – Tues, July 28
We team up with law enforcement, the fire department, emergency personnel and others for a night out against crime. The evening includes a great fundraiser meal, demonstrations, important public safety information and more! The event is held at the Norman County Fairgrounds from 5:30-8 pm.
6th Grade Coupon Book Promotion. This is a win win project for local businesses and the Ada-Borup 6th Grade Class. We team up with KRJB for this promotion. The Chamber has a coupon in the book for $25 in Chamber Bucks.
Fun in the Flatlands/Pioneer Days/Kelly Thronson Memorial Backyard BBQ – Sat., Sept. 12
It is a fun weekend offering something for everyone! We team up with the Norman County Historical Society and the Kelly Thronson Backyard BBQ committee for a great community festival!
"Old Fashioned Family Christmas Festival” - Sat., Dec. 5
This fun weekend festival is held the first weekend in December. We hold a variety of events for all ages to build memories of growing up and living in Ada. Events included a visit from Santa Claus Santa, craft sale, Old-Time Snowmobile Show & more!
