"Old Fashioned Family Christmas" Festival - November 30-December 6, 2021

************All Week: at American Federal  Bank—Ada—Open House with Cider and Coffee.************

Tuesday, November 30th

2-4 pm – Holiday Open House at Ada Public Library (treats, door prizes & more) Holiday themed story time 4:30 for youth. Free crafts.

Wednesday, December 1st

 2 pm-Teen & Adult Watercolor Painting Class - Ada Public Library (Christmas Gnomes) Free and appropriate for all experience levels.

Thursday, December 2nd

9 am—4 pm—Open House at Frandsen Bank with coffee, cider & cookies. Register for drawing for 3, $50 Chamber Bucks

11:00 am- 1:30 pm–Annual Soup and Pie Day Drive-Up/Take Out at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Come and take out our great homemade soups and pies! Check out the Virtual Silent Basket Auction on Face book at St Joseph Parish Ada MN.   (Fundraiser)

 

Friday, December 3rd

9 am—4 pm—Open House at Frandsen Bank with coffee, cider & cookies. Register for drawing for 3, $50 Chamber Bucks

5-9 pm—Festival of Trees Gala at Prairie Village.  Wine tasting & Paring with Appetizers. Tickets available at the Log Cabin 10-5 Tues/Wed/Thurs (Fundraiser)

7 pm—Bar Bingo at the Main Street Bar (Borup Community Club Gaming)

 

Saturday,  December 4th

 9 am—2:30 pm—Huge Craft Show at Ada-Borup-West School

 9 am—11 am—Shopping for Mom & Dad with Santa’s Elves Ada-Borup-West School, Mrs. Tinjum’s Room. Sponsored by ECFE  Free

 9 am—4 pm—Festival of Trees at Prairie Village Log Museum.  Music by the Jossund Family throughout the day.

Fundraiser,  Norman County Historical Society.

10 am—Laughing Earth Garden—Funny Thing Picture Magnet Class  with Joe McFarland

10 am – 1:30 pm -20th Annual Vintage Snowmobile Club’s Show & Chili Cook-off at Main Street Bar.  All ages welcome, all sleds welcome for the show!!! Free Registration. Line em up 10-12.  Awards at 1:30 pm.  Ride about 2 pm  (weather permitting).  Trophies for 1st in each class 60-69, 70-72, 73-75, 76-79, 80-87, Classic 88-98, Best in Show, People’s Choice, Best Original, Vintage Attire, Youth Class.  Youth 12 & under can enter any sled.  Medals for all youth that enter.  Winner selected at random.  New this year: Swap Area (limit 1 trailer and pick-up per person. 11 am - 2 pm - Lunch served in Ada-Borup School Commons.  Pulled pork sandwiches, soup, hot dogs & bars. (Fundraiser IXL 4-H)

 2 pm—Ada-Borup-West Theater production ”The Sound of Music”  “Free” Admission for all students K-12 courtesy of the Ada Chamber of Commerce. (Bring a non-perishable food item for the food shelf) Ada-Borup-West School Theater

 3 pm- Quilt Lift at Prairie Village’s Festival of Trees by the Wanna Be Quilters

 4 – 6 pm – SANTA CLAUS!!!  Santa would love for you to visit him with a drive by and a wave at 209 N. Jamison Drive (Mike and Angie Nelson’s Christmas wonderland).   Bring letters to Santa’s mail box with your return address so you can hear back from Santa. Each child receives treats from Santa, a craft project to do at home & more!  Please consider bringing a donation for The Ada Fire Department and the Ada Future Leaders who will be collecting food, new toys, and cash donations for our communities.  Any child who donates will be entered into a drawing to WIN a winter snow package.  (Head North on Jamison Drive off of Hwy 200 and continue to the West on West 3rd Ave. in a one way direction. to keep the line moving.)  Sponsored by the American Legion, Ada VFW, Ada Chamber of Commerce, Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union, Mary Ann Bell, Mathsen Agency & Mike and Angie Nelson .
